The Barangay Ginebra San Miguel is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Columbian Dyip at 7:00 P.M. on November 15, 2019 live from the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City.
The Gin Kings will try to solidify their win-once incentive campaign while the Dyip wanted to secure a playoff spot when the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup resumes this evening at the Big Dome.
The fan-favorite Barangay Ginebra passed an acid test when they meet one of the league-leading squads the TNT KaTropa last November 8.
The Gin Kings started slowly in that match as most of their outside shooters unable to find the bottom of the nets.
Ginebra went to Japeth Aguilar to keep their squad in the game and avoided to be blown out.
“He was really active around the rim, putting putbacks, diving hard, getting a lot of cuts. That’s truly when he’s at his best is when he’s doing stuff like that,” said Ginbera head coach Tim Cone.
“He just did a tremendous job at that (tonight).”
Columbian on the other hand, they’re now at the playoffs borderline and they needed one more win to avoid any complications of points differential for the eighth and last quarterfinals slot.
CJ Perez is fresh from being named as the unanimous choice for PBA Press Corps Rookie of the Month honor.
The number one overall pick of the 2018 PBA draft needed to take out all of his arsenals in tonight’s game for them to qualify in the next phase.
