It’s too early this 2017 PBA Govenor’s Cup but the league already gave its fans probably the best treat this conference and that’s the rematch of last year’s Finals.

After winning Game 1 and Game 3 in 2016 third conference finals game, the Bolts look good when they hold a 2-1 advantage but that was all gone to history as the Gin Kings bounced back and won the championship trophy.

Barangay Ginebra import Justin Brownlee converted a one-of-the-dramatic-shots the league have seen that gave the “Never-Say-Die” team a taste of another championship which they searched for many many years.

Before leaving the Philippines last year, Allen Durham told his teammates to “remember the feeling”.

“I told the guys we got to remember this feeling,” Durham, the Governors’ Cup Best Import award winner, told the media as Ginebra was celebrating their championship near the dug-outs after the contest. “Hopefully Meralco will have me back next season and then if that’s the case, we got unfinished business.”

Majority of the players for both teams are still intact along with their imports. However, there are few slight changes but most likely carries a big impact in tonight’s showdown.

Ginebra fans will see again their giant as Greg “GregZilla” Slaughter will return to action after its long absence due to injury.

Baser Amer was just another PBA player who can play basketball last season but in the Commissioner’s Cup he exploded and carries that great performance in their opening game this conference.
