The Barangay Ginebra San Miguel is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Meralco Bolts at 6:45 P.M. on May 26, 2019 live from the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
The defending champion Gin Kings wants a quick bounce back game while the Bolts are eyeing for two consecutive wins when the 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup resumes tonight at the Big Dome.
Meralco head coach Norman Black told his import that there are good shooters in the team and he needs to trust them if they wanted to win games.
Seems like that advise worked for them as they Gani Lawal is now part of the Meralco offensive flow.
Though Lawal only had two assists during their game versus the Columbian Dyip but the ball at least is not always on his hands.
One of the beneficiaries of that import change of offensive style is Baser Amer who scored 21 points. Baser was always ready to receive the ball especially from the three-point area where he scored 15 points.
Despite of having a close to a triple-double outing, Justin Browlee wasn’t able to deliver a second conference opener victory to Ginebra versus the Blackwater Elite also last Friday.
In that defeat they also lost Jeff Chan who was pulled out from the basketball court in a wheel chair. He got injured after he landed on the foot of James Sena.
Yet, good news for the Gin Kings fans as it was only a sprained injury. There was no crack or tear on the injured foot but he maybe doubtful to play tonight.
