The Barangay Ginebra San Miguel is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Meralco Bolts at 6:45 P.M. on October 7, 2018 live from Sta. Rosa Multi-Purpose Complex, Laguna.
The rematch of the 2017 PBA Governors’ Cup is set tonight and the Laguna based PBA fans will be the ones to witness it live and in-person.
In this year’s version of third conference, the Gin Kings played like a real defending champions with its magnificent 6-1 card while the Bolts are still figuring out how to end their losing skid wayback that even started from the 2018 FIBA Asia Champions Cup.
Joe Devance back to the injured list and Japeth Aguilar back to the Barangay Ginebra lineup. Despite of their injury woes, coach Tim Cone and his troops looks undistructable in this season-ending tourney.
Likewise, they dismantled the NLEX Road Warriors without a problem. That game seems like it was designed mainly for Mark Caguioa in order for him to reach another milestone.
Caguioa reached the 10,000 career points and now an official member of the 10K elite group.
Also, coach Tim Cone also shared a news that Greg Slaughter and Sol Mercado will be soon back to action.
“Their return is around the corner,” said Cone.
For Meralco on the other hand, a fourth quarter collapse against the surging Blackwater Elite last Friday was the reason why coach Norman Black and his squad suffered another defeat.
They were control in the third and even had a close fight in the last period but they’re unable to match the heroics done by Paul Zamar who converted a game-winner three.
Currently, the Bolts is missing the services of Jared Dillinger and Ranidel de Ocampo. De Ocampo was in uniform last Friday but coach Black opted not to use him yet.
