The NLEX Road Warriors is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel at 10:00 P.M. (PHI time) on October 5, 2019 live from the Coca Cola Arena, Dubai, UAE.
Both teams are looking to make a quick bounce back after they dropped their respective previous games. The Gin Kings lost to the Fuel Masters while the Road Warriors got defeated by the Beermen yesterday also in the same playing venue.
NLEX hot winning streak got ended yesterday and on the following night another heavyweight they’re going to face and that’s the fan-favorite, the Ginebra San Miguel.
“Mahirap paghandaan iyung second game kasi naka-focus ka talaga sa San Miguel,” said Guiao.
“Pero Inunti-unti na namin kahit papaano iyung mga gusto naming i-execute for the Ginebra game. Isinisingit na namin dun sa preparation’s namin. Last week pa, so parang nakapaghanda na rin kami.
“Pero, siyempre, iba pa rin iyung naka-focus ka lang sa iisang team,” added Guiao.
Though coach Tim Cone and the rest of his squad don’t have scheduled game yesterday but they too have their own struggles going to tonight’s match.
“It’s not an easy trip,” said Cone. “We got in late last night, checked in at about 2 o’clock in the morning, Dubai time, and then get up and do this thing (shootaround) play tomorrow and leave the next day? It’s very very quick.” added Cone.
