The Barangay Ginebra San Miguel is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters at 6:45 P.M. on October 26, 2020 live from the AUF Sports Arena & Cultural Center in Angeles City, Pampanga.

The Gin Kings wanted to be back in the PBA winning tracks as quickly as possible while the Elasto Painters also have the same plan after they absorbed their first defeat inside the PBA bubble. That’s the treat of the league for tonight’s main event.

Barangay got its first speck last Sunday during their highly anticipated match versus the Magnolia Hotshots Pambansang Manok or also known as the “Manila Classico”.

The game went wire-to-wire in the first two quarters and then Ginebra almost took control of the game when they booked their largest advantage of 10 points in the third quarter. However, the boys of Hotshots’ head coach Chito Victolero felt the winning urgency to avoid the standings pit hole, Paul Lee and Mark Barroca exploded in the fourth quarter to keep Ginebra at bay.

Stanley Pringle continues his scoring prowess as he logged another 20+ points performance this conference. “Stan-the-Man” poured 24 points, six rebounds, and three dimes to lead the “Barangay” offense. Expect another Pringle show in tonight’s match.

For the Elasto Painters on the other hand, prior to Ginebra, their next schedule was supposed to be versus the Blackwater Elite. Yet, there was an adjustment to the league’s daily list of games as the Elite went to a COVID-19 protocol which later declared that all Blackwater staff and players are negative with the novel coronavirus.

Head coach Caloy Garcia has switched his attention and now focused his eyes on Ginebra which he knew that their tonight’s opponent is also roaring to make a comeback win.

Unlike the case of team NSD, ROS had the chance to keep their record unblemished only if Rey Nambatac converted his layup against the tight defense of Alaska Aces.

Tonight’s battle is a potential preview of the 2020 PBA Philippine Cup semi-finals round and this is a must-watch duel.
