The Barangay Ginebra San Miguel is scheduled for a head-to-head Semi-Finals game against the Talk ‘N Text (TNT) KaTropa Texters at 6:30 P.M. on October 8, 2017 live from the Smart Araneta Colisuem.

Gin Kings are just a win away on getting back to the PBA’s biggest stage after taking care Game 3 but the KaTropa are also eager to reach the Governors’ Cup Finals and will attempt to push the series to a do-or-die showdown.

Despite of his 44 points performance, Glen Rice Jr. wasn’t able to deliver a win for his team as he missed the last shot of Game 3 which could send the game to overtime.

Likewise, Jayson Castro also missed his own version of three-point shot that can tie the game with less than one minute remaining in the ball-game.

“If you look at the game naman tinalo lang kami by three points, and then last shot pa kami for overtime sana,” said Castro, who also had nine rebounds and nine assists in nearly 41 minutes.

“Yung confidence namin andun pa rin. Alam namin na kaya namin sila talunin, may mga mistakes lang kami. Yung composure namin dapat andun pa rin,” he added.

With San Miguel Beermen and Star Hotshots already out in the championship contention, Barangay Ginebra is now the flag bearer for the San Miguel Corporation.

“Pride ng company ang inilalaban namin hindi lang ang goal ng team na maka-back-to-back championships,” said Tenorio.

“I’m not sure kailan ang huling PBA Finals na walang SMC team. Malaking challenge sa amin at the same time magandang opportunity na buhatin ang company,” Tenorio added.

Joe Devance was the clear hero of the previous match as he converted a crucial basket late in the fourth quarter. However, his last layup attempt that he missed gave the TNT a chance to make a comeback.
