The Barangay Ginebra San Miguel is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Talk ‘N Text KaTropa Texters at 6:45 P.M. on May 6, 2018 live from the Mall of Asia Arena.
The KaTropa are looking to keep their unblemished record in the 2018 PBA Commissioner’s Cup standings and share a lead with the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters while the Gin Kings hoping to snag its first win when PBA resumes this evening.
Lack of practice with his PBA team, Charles Garcia and the entire Barangay Ginebra looks slumpy when they tackled the now league-leading Elasto Painters in their last timeout.
Garcia still far from a traditional foreign hire player who are expected to log 30-20 each night.
“Hindi pwedeng gamiting gauge ang game na ‘yon sa kung ano ang kayang ma-achieve ng team namin,” said Ginebra ace playmaker LA Tenorio.
“Masyado pang maaga para pagdudahan ang kakayahan ng team namin,” Tenorio also said.
Terrence Romeo struggled in his first game with TNT and that was against his former team the GlobalPort Batang Pier but against the Phoenix Petroleum Fuel Masters he showed why he is the reigning PBA scoring champ.
Romeo dropped a total of 21 points against the troops of coach Louie Alas and gave his KaTropa a 2-0 win-loss record.
Although his Talk ‘N Text is now having a great second conference start, coach Nash Racela preferred not to be carried away of their record. This evening, they’ll be battling one of the championship contenders.
This game will feature best back-court combinations, it will be LA Tenorio, Scottie Thompson and Sol Mercado for the Ginebra side while TNT will throw in Jayson Castro, Terrence Romeo and RR Pogoy.
