The Imus Bandera is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Pasay Voyagers at 4:00 P.M. on July 4, 2019 live from the San Andres Sports Complex, Malate, Manila City.
The Banderas are looking to make a bounce back game and pick up their second victory while the Voyagers are itching to get their third win when the 2019 MPBL Lakan Cup resume this afternoon at the Andres Sports Complex.
At the start of this season one of the promising team is the Imus Bandera after they acquired the ex-Barangay Ginebra San Miguel player Jayjay Helterbran.
Also, they have acquired the services of Gerald Anderson who already proven that he can play ball in this league.
Yet, they had a nightmare-ish game against the Bacoor City Strikers last June 20.
In the first period they were ok as they got the lead 20-12 but in the succeeding quarters it was all dominated by their opponent.
Points in the paints, second chance points and points from turnovers were the culprits of their defeat.
For the Pasay squad on the other hand, their five points to open their game against the San Juan Knights leads them to a loss last June 28.
Still, they were able to catch-up and even had the lead in the final quarter, 72-71 after the floating jumper of Jan Jamon.
However, the defending champs had their surprise and stole the game.
Pasay forward Dhon Reverente had a monster double-double in that outing as he dropped 26 points and 16 rebounds.
He is expected to deliver those goods again in their curtain raiser game.
