The man who is also called “the Kraken” dropped another big game with his 37 points and 18 rebounds who is almost unstoppable as he shoots 71% from the floor. Alex Cabagnot on the other hand who just entered the PBA Top 10 All-Time Assists leaders had a triple-double performance with 20 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists.

At the start of the game, Columbian Dyip showcasing a renewed energy and determination to win as they use their quickness to out run the Beermen. They even mount an eleven-point first quarter lead.

However, the championship experience and perhaps the team chemistry of the Beermen is the primary reason why Columbian surrendered their biggest lead in the ball-game. SMB made its own run and also made its own version of eleven-point lead in the second quarter.

In the third quarter, Columbian stormed back and was seen leading 86-83 and took advantage the foul troubled San Miguel import Renaldo Balkman. Coach Leo Austria pulled out their foreign hire player and gave way to his All-Filipino line-up that won the 2017-18 PBA Philippine Cup.

That was the quarter when Fajardo and Cabagnot both catches fire as they kept San Miguel leading against its opponent. Columbian Dyip import John Bailey Fields III played tough defense against Fajardo that made the 6’10 Beermen center went beast mode.

Fajardo is very seldom to see throwing slams in the PBA as he preferred doing it on a layup but on tonight’s game, the four-time MVP keeps on slamming if there’s an opportunity. This might be his response to the pesky defense of Fields.

The Beermen is now enjoying a three-game winning streak after dropping its first three. However, coach Leo Austria is more concerned with how they played defense as they allowed Dyip to score 117.

“Masaya ako nanalo kami pero malungkot ako dahil we gave up 117 points,” coach Austria said during the post-game interview.

Although Columbian Dyip absorbed another loss, at least this time around it didn’t reach to thirty points just like in their previous games against the Talk ‘N Text KaTropa Texters and the Magnolia Hotshots Pambansang Manok.

Both Rashawn McCarthy and John Fields had 19-points apiece to lead their team along with Reden Celda who also had the same scoring number. Fields on the other hand was seen gone tired at the last phase of the game and it’s clear that Columbian Dyip can’t survive without its import.
