The Talk ‘N Text KaTropa Texters orchestrated a fourth quarter run to topple the Alaska Aces, 107-106 and sent coach Alex Compton’s team to a 12-game losing skid.
At first, it seems Alaska was on the way to break its losing nightmares as they were leading as much as 14-points. To make it much better, TNT’s import committed its last foul with more than five minutes to go in the fourth quarter.
However, the KaTropa’s Gilas boys made noise in the last quarter and overtook Alaska for good.
With 2:21 left in the fourth, Roger Pogoy left open in the three-point land and was able to convert a long shot that tied the game at 99-all.
Alaska’s LaDontae Henton responded in the next Alaska position to take back the lead at 101-99. RR Pogoy continued his hot shooting as he made a step-back three-pointer against Chris Banchero and Talk ‘N Text regained the driver’s seat at 101-99.

Jayson Castro joined the three-point party as he sank his own three-pointer that puts his team in much further distance with four-point lead.
In the next position, Alaska’s import able to convert his own version of long bomb that keep his team winning hopes alive and cut the lead to just a single point, 106-107.
The Aces still had the opportunity to take the W after Kelly Williams missed his shot with 13 seconds remaining.
Coach Alex Compton runs out of timeout and had no choice but to shout his instructions from the sidelines as time keeps ticking against them.
LaDontae Henton had the chance to beat the buzzer as he drove to the basket but unfortunately the ball rims out.
Henton had a PBA career game performance with his 42 points, 22 rebounds and 4 blocks but probably he will be much happier if they’re able beat Talk ‘N Text.
RR Pogoy hands is now ready for the upcoming 2017 FIBA Asia Cup in Lebanon as he converted 7 of his three-point shots out of eight attempts. Pogoy finished the game with 25 points while his fellow Gilas teammate Jayson Castro added 23 points.
