At around 3:21 mark of the fourth quarter, Nico Salva shoots a perimeter jumper which he missed. Then Cliff Hodge and Mike Magat battles for rebound positioning, Kevin Alas out of nowhere joined the rebounding scene, though he was able to pull the ball from the mid-air but his landing isn’t good to watch.
Alas fell to the ground and he was in pain. Yet, with the warrior attitude within him, he was able to stand up and converted two free-throws on the other end.
Coach Yeng Guiao probably have seen something wrong and he immediately called a time out and made a substitution to replace Alas.
According to MRI analysis released by Delos Santos hospital, Kevin suffers another ACL tear injury on the same knee which made him sidelined the majority of the PBA 43rd season.
