Kevin Durant has scored more points in the Olympics than any other American man, including Carmelo Anthony, LeBron James, and Michael Jordan.

Kevin Durant has surpassed Carmelo Anthony as the all-time leading scorer in US men’s basketball Olympic history, scoring 13 points in the first half of Saturday’s group game against the Czech Republic.

Over the course of four Olympics, Anthony scored 336 points in 31 games. Durant broke Anthony’s mark in just 19 games, hitting a 3-pointer midway through the second quarter to do it. With a 119-84 triumph, he finished the game with 23 points in 27 minutes to help Team USA advance to the Olympic quarterfinals.

“I never really thought about (breaking the record),” said Durant, who is seeking his third Olympic gold medal.

“There’s so many great players, and I’m just happy I’m part of something special,” added Durant.

Durant currently has 354 points in his career. LeBron James (273 points), David Robinson (270 points), and Michael Jordan (256 points) round out the top five scorers for the United States at the Olympics.
