Kevin Murphy has arrived in the country and will replace the Beermen injured import Arizona “AZ” Reid.
The responsibility to help the San Miguel franchise back to the biggest stage of PBA is now with Kevin Murphy who is a known scorer.
Murphy was drafted by the Utah Jazz during the 2012 NBA Draft and was selected as the 47th pick in the second round.
Before playing in the NBA he was a member of the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles where during his senior years he dropped a whopping 50-point game.
With the deep bench the Jazz have after he got drafted, Murphy unable to join the final roster and was assigned to Reno Bighorns in the NBA D-League.
Then later on 2013 he was recalled by the Jazz and was involved in a trade that sent Andre Iguodala to the Golden State Warriors.
In 2014 he Murphy joined the Idaho Stampede (another team in NBA D-League) where he dropped another 50-point performance.
With his scoring abilities, many international scouts got interested with his talents. Murphy had a stint in countries like China, Japan and Croatia.
