NLEX Road Warriors guard, Kiefer Ravena is officially added to the Gilas Pilipinas 15-man pool for the upcoming 2019 SEA games.

That was revealed by Gilas Pilipinas team manager Gabby Cui as the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) submitted the “Phenom’s” name to Philippine SEA Games Organizing Committee (Phisgoc).

Ravena will be taking the slot of TNT KaTropa’s Jayson Castro who is currently nursing an injury.

“We were told (by Phisgoc) na puwede pa basta hindi pa officially submitted yung final 12 lineup,” said Cui.

Coach Tim Cone invited Ravena to join the rest of the Gilas team during their scrimmage versus the Alab Pilipinas Monday evening.

“I watched the game and tried to be with them as much as I can in terms of mentally present and mentally prepared para pagdating ng practice hindi na sila masyadong mag-a-adjust pagdating sa akin, ako na lang,” Ravena said.

Without a doubt, Ravena is the main-man of NLEX squad this season apart from their high-scoring import. Upon his return to PBA, the squad of coach Yeng Guiao starts picking up wins.

In this 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup, the former Ateneo Blue Eagles standout is averaging 16.5 points, 9.25 assists and six rebounds per outing.
