A labor group wanted the special envoy to China Ramon Tulfo to step down and make an apology for his earlier statement with regards to the quality of work by Filipino construction workers.

According to the spokesperson of ALU-TUCP, there is a group of construction workers who is challenging Mr. Tulfo to join them in order for him to witness the real scenario.

“Meron ding grupo ng mga construction workers ang naghahamon kay G. Tulfo na maglakad nang tatlong araw kasama sila sa isang construction site at doon tingnan at obserbahan ni G. Tulfo kung papaano sila magtrabaho at kung ano ang kalagayan nila,” said Alan Tanjusay.

Likewise, Mr. Christian Hulog who was on site when he got interviewed by GMA News has shown his disappointment.

“Nakakainsulto yun kasi biruin mo nagpapapagod ka tapos sasabihin tamad ka? Eh kung sila sabihan na kayo? Kayo nga mga tamad dyan kasi kayo nakaupo lang eh tapos kayo yumayaman,” said Mr. Hulog.

However, Mr. Ramon Tulfo response on their request isn’t the way they’re expecting. Instead he shown them the “finger”.

“Bakit ako magbibitiw? Wala naman akong ginawang masama,” said Mr. Tulfo.
