The reigning queen of the Miss Universe beauty pageant, Catriona Gray is in Indonesia and she made sure not to miss the chance to wear the nation’s traditional fabric.

The beauty queen hailed from Oas, Albay shared a photo of her by posting a picture on her instagram official account.

Catriona donned a hand-painted “batik” scarf, owned by the company that she is endorsing as Miss Universe during her visit in Indonesia.

“My first time to wear and own a hand-painted batik scarf. I love learning about another country’s textiles just as much as I love sharing my own,” said Gray.

The Fil-Aussie is also trying to maximize her stay in the country by visiting its markets. Her next stop on her itenirary is “tsibog time”.

“Next up, time to try Indonesian food!” she said.

Catriona made her touch down in Indonesia last Thursday and she’s there for a photo shoot for one of Miss Universe sponsors.
