
Land Transportation Office (LTO) turned off each of its transactions across the country as a result of malfunction of Information Technology (IT) on Thursday, September 1. After a couple of hours of fixing the trouble, the system went back online before 10:30 am.

“All I can say as of now, at 10:28 am the system was able to restore by the technicians. The IT provider searched for the cause of the problem and made an alternative solution to prevent this kind of problem next time.” LTO Chief Edgardo Galvante said when interviewed by GMA News.
As a result of what happen in the system of LTO, many of the transactions countrywide leads to a delay. Another advisory was declared by Department of Transportation (DOTr) to reschedule the dealings of all motorists and informed the public not to head out to LTO office due to the reported system error.
“Please be informed that all LTO offices nationwide are currently offline. Please reschedule your transactions,” said by the Department of Transportation (DOTr) quoted by GMA. LTO have been swamped by numerous motorists in the nation each day for renewing as well as obtaining a driver’s license.
The problem was instructed instantaneous action by LTO Chief Galvante and as of 10:57 am all of the transactions of the agency appeared to be back on track at the LTO central office along East Avenue in Quezon City branch.
