Lucio “Bong” Tan Jr. Passed Away At The Age Of 53

The President of Philippine Airlines Holdings (PAL), Lucio “Bong” Tan passed away on Monday, November 11, 2019 at the age of 53.

According to the news published by Rappler, Tan suffered an aneurysm.

“His untimely passing leaves a big void in our hearts and our group’s management team which would be very hard to fill,” the Tan family said in a statement.

Last November 9, it was reported that Tan collapsed during a basketball game between PAL and the Exile squad in Mandaluyong.

He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital where he underwent a series of diagnostic tests.

He was initially reported that he was in stable condition until this Monday morning breaking news.

Tan also served as the University of the East Red Warriors head coach in the UAAP.
