Regardless if a person is rich or poor, the treatment will be the same.
That might be the reason why several showbiz personalities are now doing a voluntary drug test.
Kapamilya TV host and actor Luis “Lucky” Manzano found himself negative after he undergone a test for illegal substance at the Philippine National Police headquarters at Camp Crame.
The actor’s action to subject himself to an examination (urine sample was used during the test) is in the middle of the government’s effort to get rid of illegal drug trade, which includes personalities in local showbiz who are allegedly identified as bigtime users.
A few weeks ago, celebrity radio DJ Karen Bordador as well as her boyfriend Emilio Lim were charged for alleged use and also peddling of illegal drugs and it’s also believed that both of them are trading in the group of celebrities.
Manzano wasted no time to publish on his Instagram account the photo of his drug test outcome in which he was identified as negative both in Methamphetamine (shabu) as well as in THC which is contained in marijuana.
His post in social media also showed a police officer of the PNP Crime Laboratory following the drug test. He also captioned “Magiging honest na po ako… Di ko kayang magsinungaling sa mga nagmamahal sa akin… Oo… Positive po ako sa test. Ang kaso ko raw ay : ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A HANDSOME FACE.“.
Luis is the only son of former couple, Edu Manzano and known as as ‘star for all seasons’ Vilma Santos who is presently working at the Philippine House of Representatives.
The Family Fued host as well as comedian even cracked a joke that he only receives positive results in tests for being ‘handsome’.
His father, Edu mentioned on Wednesday, that if the Philippine Drug Enforcemenr Agency (PDEA) performs a raid and found celebrities using drugs, they only have themselves responsible for as they were already cautioned by the government.
Aside from Luis, other television stars of celebrities hub Star Magic, including Jake Cuenca, Enrique Gil, Diego Loyzaga, and others, likewise underwent drug tests and were found negative.
Filipino- Aussie hotrob, James Reid also confirmed that he’s ready to undertake random drug examinations.
Based on Reid, “I guess it’s all for the better… I love going to festivals. I love partying. I guess I have nothing to be afraid of if I haven’t done anything wrong so why not?”.
