The Magnolia Hotshots Pambansang Manok is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Alaska Aces at 6:45 P.M. on October 6, 2019 live from the Smart Araneta Coliseum, Cubao, Quezon City.
The Hotshots wanted to extend their winning streak to three while the Aces will try to avoid a five consecutive loses when the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup resumes at the Big Dome tonight.
It’s the rematch of the 2018 PBA Governors’ Cup Finals, yet, the Aces currently sporting several changes in their roster.
One, of course, is a new head coach and second a new import. No more coach Alex Compton nor Mike Harris to challenge the defending champion.
Apart from those changes, Alaska also continues to miss several key players who are on their injured list.
Their newly hired foreign hire maybe still adjusting to the league as he struggles to find his basketball skills during their game versus the Meralco Bolts. Frank House was held to only eight points along with his 11 rebounds in that defeat.
For Magnolia, on the other hand, almost 100% of their roster is back and that will be a huge advantage for the squad of head coach Chito Victolero as team chemistry no longer an issue.
“Chemistry-wise, maganda, wala kaming problema dahil kilala namin si Romeo Travis,” said Victolero.
The Hotshots are coming from a tough battle versus the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters where two squads showcased their defensive prowess.
