The Magnolia Hotshots Pambansang Manok is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Meralco Bolts at 4:00 P.M. on October 20, 2020 live from the AUF Sports Arena & Cultural Center in Angeles City, Pampanga.

The Hotshots will make an attempt to quickly return to the winning tracks after absorbing a bump a few days ago while the Bolts wanted to do the same when the 2020 All-Filipino Cup resumes this afternoon in the PBA bubble in Angeles City.

No more four-point play finish for Hotshots’ guard Paul Leee when his squad faced the Alaska Aces last Saturday. Unlike their game against the NLEX Road Warriors, Lee was heavily guarded at the tail end of that mentioned duel and instead, it went to his hands it went to Jackson Corpuz who launched a three-pointer but missed.

After the last buzzer, Magnolia is now staring at their second defeat at the conference. Magnolia head coach Chito Victolero understands the situation and a must adjustment needed to be deployed in their basketball system to avoid drifting.

“It’s difficult to fall in a deep hole in the bubble. Other teams will pick themselves up and get some wins, that’s why you can’t fall behind,” said Victolero.

“It’s a little bit difficult if you are losing because you see everybody every minute of the day. You see all the teams and you see all the officials so you can’t get away from basketball because of the atmosphere,” he added.

For Meralco on the other hand, Barangay Ginebra San Miguel continues their mastery over them as the third conference finalists had their rematch last Sunday.

The Gin Kings though lacks the inside presence of Greg Slaughter this conference yet they dominated the paint outscoring the Bolts, 48-28. That stat line might be one of the numbers head coach Norman Black doesn’t want to repeat.
