The Magnolia Hotshots Pambansang Manok is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the NLEX Road Warriors at 4:30 P.M. on April 3, 2019 live from the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The Road Warriors are looking to make a quick bounce back game while the Hotshots wanted to keep their winning streak and extend it to three in a row.
During NLEX out-of-town game where it took place in Pampanga, the home province of their head coach Yeng Guiao, they were shooting hot in the three-point land most especially in the first half.
The Road Warriors demonstrated how lethal their big-men from downtown.
J.R Quinahan converted three long bombs in the opening quarter then Asi Taulava, JP Erram, Raul Suyod and Marion Magat joined the party later.
However, when they needed that weapon in the final moments of the game against the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel they got well defended.
That NLEX long range weapon will be tested again versus a team that likes to play defense.
Currently the Road Warriors the eight and the last spot going to the playoffs. Another victory is a must for them to avoid any complications with other bottom teams.
This is what Magnolia head coach Chito Victolero is trying to prevent and he is very aware how the boys of coach Yeng will respond to his challenge.
“It’s a very crucial game for both teams. We need to win to secure the No. 6 spot,” noted Victolero.
“We need to match the effort and desire ng NLEX because I know they will come out very strong,” added Victolero.
