The Magnolia Hotshots Pambansang Manok is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the NLEX Road Warriors at 7:00 P.M. on June 14, 2019 live from the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
Both the Hotshots and the Road Warriors are itching to log their first victory this 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup. One of them is for sure will go home with a victory but the other will dip in the standings.
Another roster shake-up was made by NLEX to aid their dismal start this conference. They’re currently at the bottom part of the standings at 0-5 record.
Hopes are high for the Road Warriors as the former student of coach Yeng Guiao during their Rain or Shine Elasto Painters days will be joining NLEX.
Jericho Cruz got traded as the Road Warriors shipped Marion Magat and future picks to acquire the veteran guard.
“We need all the help we can get, and we’re hoping Jericho can supply that,” said JoLas. “His scoring and his playmaking and I think there is some kind of leadership quality in him.”
Magnolia on the other hand are also hoping that their newly tapped import, James Farr will make a rebound from his awful PBA debut.
The Hotshots are still struggling this conference but they’re in this similar situation just like in the 2019 PBA Philippine Cup.
Coach Chito Victolero squad started slow in All-Filipino but yet the entire team able to find ways to deliver victories until they reached the Finals.
Without a doubt, Magnolia will try that trick once again this mid-season tournament.
