The Magnolia Hotshots Pambansang Manok is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the NorthPort Batang Pier at 4:30 P.M. on September 1, 2018 live from the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The Hotshots are looking to make back-to-back victories and keep their unblemished win-loss record while the Batang Pier are seeking to break their two-game losing skid when PBA resumes this afternoon in the Big Dome.
The bid of Gilas Pilipinas for gold in 2018 Asian Games is over and they finished the tournament yesterday at fifth place. With that said, PBA players who was sent to Indonesia are set to return to their mother ball-clubs.
Two of those players are Stanley Pringle of NorthPort and Paul Lee for Magnolia.
With Batang Pier’s current place in the 2018 PBA Govenors’ Cup standings is in dire situation, coach Pido Jarencio might use the services of Pringle as soon as he touched down the country.
Likewise there’s some rumors that Sean Anthony is already healthy and will also ready for the 4:30 PM showdown.
Although there’s no confirmation whether the two go-to-guys of NorthPort will play still Magnolia head coach Chito Victolero is ready for them.
“We’re preparing na sina Anthony and Pringle are both playing tomorrow,” said Victolero the day before their scheduled duel with NorthPort. “Darating si Pringle tomorrow, plus si Anthony I heard p’wede na siyang maglaro so ready kami,” he added.
What about Paul Lee? Will he play for Magnolia? This is what coach Victolero’s response:
“Nakausap ko siya last Wednesday at ang sabi ko, pahinga muna siya once na nakabalik na sila,” related Victolero. “Ang sabi naman niya, darating siya para manood and at the same time para suportahan ang team.”
