The Magnolia Hotshots Pambansang Manok is scheduled for a best-of-seven semi-finals match against the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters. Game 4 is at 7:00 P.M. on April 22, 2019 live from the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The Hotshots are looking to tie the series after the tonight’s last buzzer but the Elasto Painters wanted to a 3-1 lead when the 2019 PBA Philippine Cup Playoffs resumes tonight at the Big Dome.

Coach Chito Victolero and his troops has avoided the 0-3 pit before the league went to its holiday to give way for the Holy Week.

Magnolia players were hampered with fatigue and it was evident in their performance during the first two games of their semis campaign.

In Game 3 the Hotshots stepped on the gas and unleashed whatever they have left just to salvage the match.

Ian Sangalang and Paul Lee were the main catalysts on that run especially in the crucial moments of the game.

Paul Lee who was stuggling to manufacture points when the match enters the second half finally found his groove last Tuesday. That was the same story for Ian Sangalang who stuffed the stat sheet most especially in the fourth quarter.

Now that Hotshots have ample time of rest as well as gaining traction in the semis, they’re now looking to control the series.

“Naniniwala kami isang game lang ang makuha namin dadating ang punto na makakabalik kami,” said Sangalang.

Meanwhile for Rain or Shine, head coach Caloy Garcia finds that in their last outing it was them who run out of gas.

“We lost in the fourth quarter (in Game Three) because we lost steam. We’re outhustled especially on the boards,” said Garcia.

One of their strategies in tonight’s game is to throw more defense to Sangalang.

“Probably, we should also find a way to limit Ian Sangalang,” said Garcia.
