The Magnolia Hotshots Pambansang Manok is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters at 7:00 P.M. on October 4, 2019 live from the Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay City.
The Hotshots will try to claim their back-to-back wins while the Elasto Painters wanted to make a bounce back when the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup resumes this evening in Pasay.
Rain or Shine head coach Caloy Garcia hopes that he found another gem from the Malaysian Pro League where he also spotted Carl Montgomery who helped his club reached the semi-final of the previous conference.
This time around, ROS signed Kayel Locke to replace Joel Wright and will be seeing his first PBA action against the defending champion.
Locke already had his practice with his new team and his new coach got impressed by the way he executes their basketball system.
“He already knows how we play,” Garcia said. “He runs our offense smoothly, bring a different look and can play multiple position. Hopefully he would be able to adjust once he plays his first game.”
For team Magnolia on the other hand, taking some pressure and exchange it to some pleasure worked for them at least against the NorthPort Batang Pier.
“Sabi ni coach (Chito Victolero) at ganon ni Romeo Travis let’s just enjoy the game,” said Mark Barroca who was the Best Player of the Game during their last outing.
“Kasi last time ang taas ng pressure at parang naglalaro kami ng hindi masaya,” Barroca added.
In their first game against the Bolts, Magnolia threw their 16-point early lead and surrendered to Meralco. Yet, against the Batang Pier, the Hotshots looks rejuvenated and showed their championship form.
