The Magnolia Hotshots Pambansang Manok is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Talk ‘N Text KaTropa at 6:45 P.M. on February 3, 2019 live from the Mall of Asia Arena.
After winning the 2018 PBA Governors’ Cup trophy, the Hotshots are set to start its new campaign in the All-Filipino conference.
Their first test will be against the up-tempo style of game executed by the KaTropa.
Usually teams coming-off from a championship victory is having a hang-over but this is not the concern of Magnolia head coach Chito Victolero as they’ll be making to go out and test the waters of the 2019 PBA Philippine Cup.
“We’re okay, medyo concerned lang namin ang rhythm, timing and conditioning as this is our first game in over a month,” said Magnolia coach Chito Victolero.
“But I think we’re ready. Importante ang mindset. We have to stay focused for 48 minutes and we need to have the defensive mindset that we had in winning the last conference,” Victolero added.
A whopping 21-point lead advantage were given up by Talk ‘N Text in their last game against their sister-team the Meralco Bolts.
Troy Rosario who had a great game upon his return to PBA action versus the Beermen got limited to only five points against the Bolts.
Likewise, Jayson Castro was seen limping in the final few minutes of that game and was immediately pulled out by coaching staff.
Those are the challenges TNT needs to overcome in their tonight’s schedule.
