The Magnolia Hotshots Pambansang Manok is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Talk ‘N Text (TNT) KaTropa Texters at 6:45 P.M. on January 27, 2018 live from the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Solidifying their stand at the second spot of the 2017-18 PBA Philippine Cup is what the Hotshots are after at the end of their game tonight but the KaTropa also have the same mindset.
After got beaten by the defending champion, the San Miguel Beermen in their out-of-town game held in Iloilo City early this month, Talk ‘N Text went blazing with their own back-to-back victories against Meralco Bolts and Blacwater Elite.
Troy Rosario found his shooting strokes especially against their sister team Meralco where he converted six three-pointers out of ten attempts.
“TNT was great in their last two games. They are really playing well together on both ends. We need to be in one page for 48 minutes,” said Magnolia Ang Pambansang Manok coach Chito Victolero said.
Currently tied at third place together with Alaska Aces, coach Nash Racela is aware that they will be battling a much tougher team compared to their previous two (Meralco and Blackwater).
“They’re playing at a high level. Definitely, they’re one of the best we have here in the league. It will take our best to be able to match up with them and give us a good chance,” said TNT KaTropa coach Nash Racela.
As most PBA fans have now noticed, seems like the old PBA game is now back with all of its physicality and that concerns coach Racela.
“The way the game is officiated now favors Magnolia Ang Pambansang Manok the way they trap. So it’s gonna be tough for us,” said Racela.
