The Manila Stars – Frontrow is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Bulacan Kuyas at 8:30 P.M. on July 24, 2019 live from the Bulacan Capitol Gym, Malolos, Bulacan.
The Stars wanted to extend their winning streak to four straight while the Kuyas are hoping that tonight will be the end of their losing skid that already reaches to two in a row when the 2019 MPBL Lakan Cup resumes this evening in Malolos.
The Manila squad is coming from a convincing win against the Pampanga Giant Lanterns last July 19.
They used their might in the post to dominate the rebounding department which gave them a way to have a trip to the free-throw line 28 times.
Christopher Bitoon was Manila’s leading scorer in that match where he registered 18 points.
For the Bulacan group, on the other hand, they’re a basket away for a victory but they fell short against the Zamboanga Family’s Brand Sardines last July 11.
Zamboanga’s Allan Santos gave them a heartbreaker after he swished his floating jumper with two seconds remaining in the game. That gave the Family’s Brand Sardines an upper edge, 59-60.
JR Taganas tried to answer back but his perimeter jump shot was a miss.
Roldan Sara was the only Kuyas who reached double figures in that game. He got 10 points and seven rebounds.
He needed more help more particularly in scoring from his teammates for them to get a good chance to make a win.
