Manny Pacquiao’s Mobile Legends Hero Skin Is Freaking Awesome

Philippines pride senator Manny Pacquiao is currently making waves in another arena and that’s the realm of popular mobile game at Mobile Legends Bang Bang.

The game developers spent several months to make sure that every movement of the nation’s “Pambansang Kamao” is properly captured as well as several major details in the body of Pacquiao.

“We spent a total of 4 months to create the hero, Paquito. We extracted the spiritual core of Manny Pacquiao, and I’m sure our players feel the champion’s spirit when they play him in the game,” said Mr. William Mei, Marketing Manager of MLBB for the Philippines.

As per the MLBB team, it took them up to 6 months of constant communication with Manny Pacquiao’s team to create the final design of Paquito’s new skin. “Hundreds of photos of Manny were taken and collected to perfectly capture the in-game details such as tattoos, expressions, and other minute details,” Mei added.

The Pacquiao skin will be used on MLBB character named Paquito whose name sounds very similar to the senator since the company took its inspiration to the multi-champion boxer.

“I felt very honored when Moonton approached me for this partnership,” said Pacquiao. “It’s hard to say no when you have a hero inspired by you in the game, and now, they will give him new skin which will have my name on it. It’s exciting,” he added.

According to the survey made by the game app developer, since the release of Paquito last January 2021 they saw an uplift in sales record. The company claimed that one out of seven Filipino players purchased the “The Heavenly Fist” and has a winning rate of 53%.

The Pacquiao skin was officially launched on April 13 and will only be available until September 15, 2021. There’ll be discounts on the first week and watch out for the online activities to have a chance to get the skin for free.
