The Meralco Bolts is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Alaska Aces at 7:00 P.M. on August 24, 2018 live from the Mall of Asia Arena.

The Bolts are looking to make a quick bounce back after bowing down to an All-Filipino lineup of TNT KaTropa Texters few days ago while the Aces will make a real start on living without Calvin Abueva after got dealt to Phoenix Petroleum Fuel Masters before the third conferece has started.

Alaska head coach will parade a new import with a heavy achievement if you look to his credentials. On paper, indeed, Mike Harris is an early candidate for the Best Import award and that will be tested this evening.

Immediately, Harris’ basketball skills will be examined by Meralco along with their own back-to-back Best Import Awardee, Allen Durham.

Although the Bolts weren’t able to pull a W against TNT where they went out without an import last Sunday, coach Alex Compton won’t treat their 7:00 PM game as a walk-in-the-park.

“Meralco has been excellent on this conference the past two years. They have a Best Import awardee in Allen Durham and their locals know how to play with the imports,” said Compton.

For Meralco head coach Norman Black, not able to take the advantage of their opponent’s shortcomings turned out to be a disappointment.

“That should have been our advantage. That should have been their problem, playing without an import,” said Black. “Considering that we have the Best Import, we should have beaten them,” he added.
