The Meralco Bolts is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Blackwater Elite at 4:15 P.M. on July 21, 2017 live from Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The Bolts are looking to duplicate their early success last second conference where they owned the top spot of the standings for several weeks while the Elite will attempt to get a good start despite of missing some of its stars.

With Mac Belo still in Taiwan representing the country as a member of Gilas Pilipinas in the ongoing 2017 William Jones Cup, coach Leo Isaac still optimistic that his squad can pull a win in their 4:15 PM schedule.

Apart from its prized rookie, Art dela Cruz still out due to an injury. Blackwater bench chieftain doesn’t take it as an excuse as the Bolts are the heavily favored to get the victory.

“We will do our very best to get a win and have a good start in this third conference,” said Blackwater coach Leo Isaac on the eve of the match.

Likewise, Meralco will start its bid in getting back to the Governor’s Cup Finals. Last year in this same conference, they got beaten by Barangay Ginebra San Miguel behind the heart-breaking three-pointer made by Justin Brownlee.

To solidify their chance on getting back to PBA’s biggest stage, coach Norman Black brought back the 2016 PBA Governor’s Cup Best Import, Allen Durham.

“Having Allen Durham back in the team gives us a lot of optimism and should give us a big lift,” said Black.
