The Meralco Bolts is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the NorthPort Batang Pier at 4:30 P.M. on October 12, 2018 live from the Mall of Asia Arena.

The Bolts continue to find ways to solve their struggle in the conference they always dominate while the Batang Pier are looking to start a winning streak to keep their playoffs chances alive.

Without Ranidel de Ocampo and Jared Dillenger this season-ending tourney is a big blow to Meralco.

“We will still be missing JD and Ranidel so the other guys will have to step up and be more productive,” offered Black.

After winning their first assignment, the Bolts went downhill and having difficulty to log another victory. If we add their record both in PBA and in the 2018 FIBA Champions Cup, Meralco only got two wins and nine losses.

In their 2018 PBA Governors’ Cup campaign, they’re now staring on their five game losing skid.

Although both teams are struggling and currently at the bottom of the standings, this match is a do-or-die for them.

“Simply put it’s a battle between two teams trying to stay alive in the playoff hunt so it’s an important game,” said Black.

For NorthPort on the other hand, last Saturday they were finally able to register their first win and now they’re looking for more.

“Meralco is also struggling,” said NorthPort head coach Pido Jarencio. “Parehas lang kami, kaya hilahan na lang kami pababa,” he added.
