The following evening Mighty Sports clashed with the UAE National Team where coach Charles Tiu made several combination and even to a point where he deployed an all-local lineup. Though some of his experiments resulted to more turnovers but the national team still prevailed the match, 86-78.
In their third evening, they tackled against the more challenging Homenetmen Lebanon. Walter Muñoz exploded with 40+ points and was the thorn in the throat of Mighty Sports but they were able to surive.
That game was a big test for the team Philippines as they learn how to finish the game.
In the last day of the elimination round, they went over the more physical Al Wahda Syria. Two of the players of the national team went down, Roosevelt Adams and Justin Brownlee were seen limping as they return to their bench.
Instead of getting wobbled by the opponent’s physicality, Mighty Sports orchestrated a 14-0 run to finish them off.
