The Pampanga Giant Lanterns is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Basilan Steel at 6:30 P.M. on June 26, 2019 live from the Valenzuela Astrodome, Valenzuela.
The Giant Lanterns wanted to make a bounce back game while the Steel are eyeing for a 2-0 record and share the top spot of the South Division standings when the 2019 Lakan Cup resume this evening in Valenzuela.
The Basilan squad used a 12-2 run in the fourth quarter to spark their comeback and defeat the debuting Bicol Volcanoes.
Led by former PBA player Alex Nuyles led the Steel team with his 22 points.
“Not to say na disappointed because a win’s a win, pero kailangan ma-sustain namin yung effort namin from first to fourth quarter. We’re gonna get better from this,” said Basilan coach Jerson Cabiltes.
Yet, for the Pampanga group they fell to the previous opponent of Basilan.
Bench points is one of the main factors why they absorbed a defeat. The back-up troops of coach Bong Ramos needed to better this evening.
