The Bataan Risers is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Rizal Golden Coolers at 8:30 P.M. on October 12, 2019 live from the Bataan People’s Center, Bataan.
The Risers will try to take advantage of their home-court as they look forward to making a follow-up win while the Golden Coolers wanted to improve their current standings at 3-11 when the 2019 MPBL Lakan Cup continues at the Bataan People’s Center this evening.
Team Bataan is coming from a big win when they lambasted the Bacolod Master Sardines at the Valenzuela Astrodome last October 8.
Their opponent had trimmed their double-digit lead down to six at the end of the third quarter. Then in the final period, the Risers rediscovered their offense and shut the door completely to avoid any comeback from the Master Sardines.
John Bryron Villarias led Bataan with his 25 points and seven boards effort while teammate Reed Juntila added 21 points and five rebounds.
For team Rizal on the other hand, they’re coming from a defeat against the GenSan Warriors last October 10 at the Olivares College Gymnasium.
It was a tight ball-game for both squads during their encounter. Lord Hower Casajeros tied the game at 69-all after he made his layup attempt. Yet, it was the Golden Coolers’ Jeramar Cabanag who iced the game where he only needed one of his two shots to convert.
Mark Benitez was the leading scorer for Rizal in that said basketball contest where he made 16 points and 10 rebounds.
