The Marikina Shoemasters is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Navotas UniPak Sardines at 6:30 P.M. on September 14, 2019 live from the Bataan People’s Center, Bataan.
The Shoemasters are hoping that they can end their four-game losing skid while the Clutch wanted to make a bounce-back win when the 2019 MPBL Lakan continues this evening at the Bataan People’s Center.
The Marikina squad absorbed another loss last September 10 against the Makati Super Crunch at the Cuneta Astrodome.
Their opponent had no mercy pounding them inside the low post where they got outscored in both rebounding and points in the paint categories. Likewise, their second unit has no match compared to the bench scoring support of Makati.
Yves Sazon had 16 points and four rebounds in that basketball match while teammate Daryl Pascual made 11 markers and six boards.
For the Navotas group, on the other hand, they went short against the Bulacan Kuyas last September 10 at the Cuneta Astrodome.
It was an exciting match between those two teams where the game needed two extra periods to determine the winner.
With almost no time left in the second overtime, Navotas player Jhong Bondoc committed a foul against Kuya’s John Ray Alabanza. Albanza demonstrated that it seems like ice-water was running in his veins as he swished two very crucial free-throws which resulted in their victory.
Jhong Bondoc logged a game-high of 37 points plus his nine rebounds but those impressive stats still not enough to deliver another win to his club.
