A 6.2 magnitude earthquake shook Eastern Samar as per the report of Phivolcs this afternoon, April 23, 2019.
According to the news bulletin published by the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology in their website, the area hit by the earthquake is located at 11.78°N, 125.28°E – 019 km N 81° W of San Julian (Eastern Samar).
Phivolcs detected it at 23 Apr 2019 – 01:37:52 PM.
The tremble’s origin was tectonic and its depth of focus is 017 kilometer.
Also, Philvolcs reports that Intensity V was felt in Catbalogan City and Tacloban City while Intensity IV was registered in Masbate City, Masbate, Legazpi City and Sorsogon City.
