Here is the research conducted by Japan’s public broadcaster NHK on how micro-droplets carries the virus and how long it stays in the air.
This Japan’s research may be the basis of President Rodrigo Duterte during his state of the nation address on April 6, 2020. The president kept on stressing the importance of staying at home as the virus is in the air.
“Ang pang-kontra nito is ‘STAY HOME’ at huwag kang mahawa-an because it’s in the air. Nandiyan sa hangin eh pero hindi yung magtagal yung mga veerus (or virus) sa labas sa init.” President Duterte said.
“Sana mapanood ninyo yung experiment na ginawa ng mga Japanese,” he added.
The Japan-based research team used laser beams and a high sensitivity camera to track particles in the air. The technology will help them to detect droplets as small as 0.1 micrometers wide.
