The Aces will try to continue their good showing at the tail-end of the conference and strike it fourth consecutive wins while the Road Warriors wanted to make a bounce-back win when the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup resumes in Pasay this afternoon.

After its dismal start in this season-ending tourney, Alaska able to find their groove and now in the borderlines of the playoffs.

The squad of coach Jeffrey Cariaso needed one more victory to be qualified for the next round. Yet, in case they will absorb a defeat then they’ll have their last attempt to book the last spot of the quarterfinals round versus the Columbian Dyip.

For sure, Alaska doesn’t want to go on that path where they’ll play two consecutive matches including today than face a win-once team in the first round of the playoffs.

“We are very blessed to be given a chance to make the playoffs,” said Cariaso. “We know we are going up against the hottest and No. 1-seeded team so we must bring our absolute A-game,” added Cariaso.

“We look forward to a tough battle. All I can say is we’ve been preparing well and our attitude remains the same: Find a way to live another day.”

NLEX on the other hand, they are now secured for a quarterfinals battle and carries a twice-to-beat advantage. This game may be the preview of their quarterfinals match, they need to gather as much data as they can to ease their transition to the semi-finals.
