The NLEX Road Warriors is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Columbian Dyip at 4:30 P.M. on April 28, 2018 live from the Ynares Center-Antipolo.
It will be the battle in the PBA highway when the Road Warriors and the Dyip collides. The Dyip boys are looking to make a bounce back game while the Road Warriors are set to make its first appearance this 2018 PBA Commissioner’s Cup.
The team which was formerly known as the Kia Picanto last conference surprised the league after they have defeated Blackwater Elite at the opening day of the league. New recruit Jerramy King wasted no time and showcased his skills where he dropped 30 points, seven rebounds and four assists. The former Rain or Shine Elasto Painters took advantage the opportunity on playing in a different team and was even inserted in the starting five lineup.
However, that great performance wasn’t followed up when they faced the Meralco Bolts. King got clamped down and only managed to deliver 12 points on a poor shooting night with only 28% from the field.
Columbian Dyip head coach Ricky Dandan is very serious on chasing their second win. In case his import, CJ Aiken still have a below average game this afternoon then he might be replaced.
“Foremost in our mind is to bounce back strong by doing every thing we can to get our second win,” said Columbian Dyip coach Ricky Dandan.
The NLEX Road Warriors will begin its Commissioner’s Cup quest today and probably this is one of the conferences that coach Yeng Guiao loved. Back in 2016, he was the head coach of the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters and he helped that team to win the championship.
The Road Warriors will parade a 6’10” and 245lbs import and his name is Adrian Forbes. Their original choice was Arnett Moultrie who was part of the “Trust the Process” Philadelphia 76ers. However, the 2012 NBA Draft 27th overall pick still have obligation with another basketball squad based in Bahrain.
Coach Yeng Guiao will evaluate the tonight’s performance of Forbes and if he thinks it’s good enough then no need of bringing-in Moultrie.
