The NLEX Road Warriors is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Columbian Dyip at 4:30 P.M. on August 29, 2018 live from the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The Road Warriors are looking to resume to its good start this 2018 PBA Governors’ Cup after while the Dyip still seeking for its first victory.
The man who is known as “Jolas” and known to be one of the best clutch players during his prime years in the league was tapped earlier by NLEX to lead the team as coach Yeng Guiao received a new assignment with Gilas Pilipinas.
With Lastimosa calling the shots from the sideline, it gave the Road Warriors a surprising 2-1 win-loss record after its three outings.
Mac Tallo also making waves early this conference as he picking up the scoring slack left by Kiefer Ravena and Kevin Alas.
Another major factor of NLEX success is their import Olu Ashaolu who powered the Road Warriors with his 27 points, 15 rebounds, and three assists per outing stats who is playing with injuries.
In order to give Ashaolu a rest, the team recalled Aaro Fuller who helped NLEX to reach the playoffs last year and was the first during coach Yeng Guiao era.
For Columbian Dyip on the other hand, head coach Johnadel Cardel is still searching for its first third conference victory.
Although the team is effective in their run-and-gun type of game, the problem is that they can’t sustain the momentum until the end.
That might be one the issues the Dyip coaching staff will try to address this afternoon and end their losing skid.
