The NLEX Road Warriors is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the GlobalPort Batang Pier at 3:00 P.M. on December 25, 2017 live from the Philippine Arena.
The Batang Pier will make its debut this 43rd PBA season and ready to showcase their almost revamped lineup while the Road Warriors are eyeing for a second straight wins.
Former Gin Kings player Pido Jarencio will be this year’s coach for GlobalPort. The man who also known as the “Fireman” will unleash his new look lineup which are now more younger. Batang Pier only retained six players from their last year’s roster.
The only sad news for GlobalPort fans is that Terrence Romeo still nursing his knee injury the same reason why he wasn’t able to join Gilas Pilipinas.
Without the scoring champ in NLEX today’s opponent, coach Yeng Guiao finds it an oppurtunity although still having concerns.
“It’s a big break that Terrence is not ready to play but we also know that GlobalPort has played some of their best games without Romeo,” said Guiao.
After his stellar PBA debut, the Road Warriors fans are looking for more from their latest acquistion. Kiefer Ravena registered 18 points, 12 assists, seven rebounds and two steals then led his Road Warriors to a victory against Kia Picanto last week.
“The best Christmas gift to our fans and to ourselves is to win on Christmas Day. Malungkot ang matalo,” he said.
