The Road Warriors will try to make a follow-up victory and crawl up in the standings while the Bolts are eyeing for their third victory in the bubble and boost their chances to avoid complications when playoffs arrive.

One of the early favorites this 2020 All-Filipino Cup is Meralco due to its roster improvement which they prepared as early as the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup where they acquired Raymond Almazan and Allein Maliksi, two veterans who have extensive experience when playoffs arrive.

The Bolts early outings went rough and seem like they’re about to finish a similar fate which they swallowed in the past several Philippine Cup. Yet, after adjustments in their basketball system, the Bolts now has 2-2 card and they could even improve it to above .500 after the afternoon’s bout.

For the Road Warriors, head coach Yeng Guiao considered this PBA bubble tournament is their team’s training camp.

“It’s not just a tournament. It’s really our training camp (now),” said Guiao. “Kapag laro natin are our scrimmages to see if we are improving,” added the veteran mentor. “Yun ang attitude namin. So wala naman silang any serious concern.”

Just like their sister-team Meralco, NLEX also came from a victory as they demolished the NorthPort Batang Pier last October 21, 102-88.

Probably one of the highlights of this 4:00 PM duel is the possible match-up of ageless players. It’ll be Asi Taulava versus Reynel Hugnatan who are both playing in their 40s and continue to be very relevant in today’s competition.
