The NLEX Road Warriors is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Phoenix Petroleum Fuel Masters at 4:30 P.M. on May 11, 2018 live from the Alonte Sports Arena.

The Road Warriors still figuring out how to log their first win in the ongoing 2018 PBA Commissioner’s Cup while the Fuel Masters are currently blazing and looking for back-to-back victories.

Coach Yeng Guiao and his NLEX Road Warriors shown big improvement which started back in the 2017 PBA Governor’s Cup and continued until the 2018 PBA Philippine Cup. However, this second conference, it seems that they lost their winning momentum as the team now staring on their 0-3 win-loss record.

“To be in a hole like 0-3, emergency situation na ito kumbaga,” said the champion mentor. “If we don’t pick it up in the next few games, I guess we will be looking forward to the next conference.”

“It’s not what we’ve expected, but we just have to go back and evaluate what we’re doing wrong.”

NLEX choice import arrived in the country just few days before their second game. Arnett Moultrie still win-less in PBA after his two attempts leading the Road Warriors in this import-laden conference.

The Fuel Masters on the other hand are still fresh from their come-from-behind against the All-Filipino finalist, the Magnolia Hotshots Pambansang Manok. Coach Louie Alas’ snipers helped Phoenix to escape Hotshots.

“We just have to follow ng isang maganda pang game,”said Alas after the Magnolia game. “Sunod naming kalaban NLEX. Kapag nanalo kami doon gaganda na toughness ng team.”

Another win for Phoenix will put them on second place in the standings and will share that position with Rain or Shine Elasto Painters and Meralco Bolts.
