The NLEX Road Warriors is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters at 4:15 P.M. on July 26, 2017 live from Smart Araneta Coliseum.
After its magnificent back-to-back wins, the Road Warriors wants more and eyeing for a three-game winning streak while the Elasto Painters are also tasked to make their own version of two straight victories.
Rain or Shine won two championships during the time of coach Yeng Guiao as their head coach but at the start of the 2016-17 PBA season, the veteran bench tactician has moved to the Road Warriors.
The Elasto Painters won all of its previous matches against their former mentor. That was in Philippine and Commissioner’s Cup.
Fast forward to the third conference it seems that finally the Road Warriors has now adjusted to the system of Guiao and current RoS head coach can sense it.

“NLEX is playing so well,” said Garcia. “Their players are starting to understand the system of coach Yeng and they have an import who fits them. It’s gonna be a hard game,” he added.
NLEX started their 2017 Governor’s Cup against the struggling Alaska and then just few days later it was against Kia Picanto.
For coach Yeng, the game against his former squad will test the stability of NLEX Road Warriors.
“They are a tall, balanced team with a lot of seasoned players. We will be severely tested,”countered Guiao.
NLEX Kevin Alas was named as the first Player of the Week in this 2017 PBA Governor’s Cup.
His best game so far was against the Aces where he dropped 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. For sure he’s eager to repeat that output in tonight’s ball-game.
