The NLEX Road Warriors is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters at 4:30 P.M. on November 3, 2018 live from the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The Road Warriors are looking to make two-game winning streak as they head to the playoffs while the Elasto Painters are looking to have a good exit from the 2018 PBA Governors’ Cup.
NLEX is one of the bottom teams fighting for a playoffs slot as the tournament is about to start its quarterfinals round.
The Talk ‘N Text KaTropa Texters and the Meralco Bolts are the other ball-clubs wanted to have that second phase ticket.
The only advantage of the Road Warriors is that they have one win advantage compared to its other sister-teams that’s when NLEX won versus the Alaska Aces several days ago. Aaron Fuller unleashed his monster game as registered 42 points and 22 rebounds.
That game needed an extra period to decide a winner.
“We have one foot inside the door of the quarterfinals, but we still need to play Rain or Shine in our last game,” said Guiao. “We might still need to win that one to assure ourselves of a slot in the quarterfinals.”
For the Rain or Shine on the other hand, they’ll be playing without their import Terrence Watson who flew back to USA to attend his wife and his newly born baby.
Likewise, the squad of coach Caloy Garcia will continue to play without the services of Beau Belga and Raymond Almazan.
The only thing NLEX have to do is not to be complacent or else they’ll end up in a wild scramble if TNT and Meralco wins its next assignment.
