The NLEX Road Warriors is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters at 4:30 P.M. on October 30, 2019 live from the Cuneta Astrodome, Pasay City.

The Road Warriors wanted to claim the top spot of the standings while the Elasto wanted to grasp air and gave life to their playoff hopes when the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup resumes this afternoon in Pasay.

Just several days ago when coach ROS head coach Garcia found the import who is the right fit for their basketball system, Kwame Alexander got hurt during their game versus the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel last Sunday.

Rain or Shine tapped another one in the name of Richard Ross who got stints in Norway, Bolivia, Australia, Luxembourg, and China.

“We changed imports so we hope he will be able to adjust to the style of play here,” said Garcia. “Hopefully, he’ll give us energy and rebounds.”

Ross will try to help the Elasto Painters to sweep its remaining games but it is expected that their sailing will be rough. Starting this afternoon they’ll battle the hot streaking NLEX Road Warriors the San Miguel Beermen, a team that is thirsty to make a win and end their losing skid then finally the number three owner of the spot in the standings, the Meralco Bolts.

For NLEX coach Yeng Guiao on the other hand, he wanted to enter their long respite with a win as well as seeing the name of their team at the number one spot of the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup standings.

“We have a long break after this game and it would be nice to reward ourselves with a tie for first place if we can carve out a win versus Rain or Shine,” said Guiao.
