The NorthPort Batang Pier has officially welcomed Greg Slaughter their latest acquisition to solidify their bid for the upcoming 46th PBA season.
Just hours ago, the PBA trade committee has approved a deal along with the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel to swap Slaughter and Christian Standhardinger.
Slaughter will now the center of attraction for head coach Pido Jarencio squad. He went to the US after he decided to have a short retirement period from the PBA to enhance his basketball skills.
Looking at his previous Instagram posts looks like “Gregzilla” wanted to shift his familiar low-post moves to a more agile big-man which is now more in-demand as coaches embrace new basketball play book where the center and forward able to shoot a three-pointer and must be fast-moving.
Last 45th PBA season, the Batang Pier finished last together with Terrafirma Dyip that only managed to register one victory. Though it’s tough to the eyes yet that gave them the opportunity to take the second-best player from this year’s draft. Likewise, NorthPort will be also seeing Robert Bolick back to the hardcourt as he is now reported healthy.
